THE LOCAL PEOPLE  

“Caboclos” being colonists that moved in and still are arriving, representing a colourfull mixture coming from european, african, asian, latin and indigenous origins, forming the typical riverine villages that speak both spanish and portuguese, sometimes even including basic indigenous terms.

The area borders officially maped indigenous land belonging to known and properly contacted ethnics of proud and highly cultural “Mayoruna”, “Marubo”, “Matiz”, “Kanaimarí” and “Kurina”, as well as still poorly known ethnics like “Korubo” and none-known and yet none-contacted abundant other tribes.
